Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and now Generation Z will all go through the same life stages. Each gets to experience the freedom and exploration of the teens, the entry into adulthood and responsibility, the desire to make the most of middle-age and the reflection of the sunset years.
Every generational cohort attempts to learn from their predecessors and advance towards a better place. And every generation leaves their mark on those around them via:
- imparted values
- new technologies
- amazing discoveries
- inventions or
- artistic gifts
But if you market to these generations, you have probably found that effectively engaging them is the key to either creating – or destroying – value.
Much has been written in recent years about the aging Baby Boomers and the Millennials entering peak earning years. However, Generation Z is only now starting to appear on the radar.
As they just begin to enter their college years we are seeing an amazing shift start to take place. Collectively Gen Z embraces a
- solid work ethic
- entrepreneurial spirit, and
- desire to do-good
This youngest generational cohort may well be a force of positive change in the world.
Join me on an exploration of how to engage Generation Z.
